1. Is Drone Matrix a VST plugin?
No. Drone Matrix is an Ableton Live Rack: a virtual instrument built inside Ableton Live that combines different sound sources, devices and effects in a single system with its own controls.
In practice, you use it like any other virtual instrument. You can create sounds, transform them, save your configurations and use them in your music productions.
The main difference is that a VST is an independent plugin that can run in different compatible DAWs, while an Ableton Live Rack is designed specifically for Ableton Live.
2. Which version of Ableton Live do I need?
Drone Matrix was developed for Ableton Live 12 Suite.
3. Do I need to install external plugins or Max for Live?
You do not need to install any external plugins. Drone Matrix uses Max for Live, which is already included with Ableton Live 12 Suite.
4. Can I save my creations?
Yes. Drone Matrix includes a preset system that lets you save and recall your own configurations.
5. Can I use the sounds in commercial productions?
